Our Story: About Notes for Becoming

Inspiration for the journey ahead

Life rarely moves in a straight line. There are seasons of change, uncertainty and healing when the right words can help us feel a little more grounded.

Notes for Becoming was created to offer those words.

How it began

The idea grew from my own experiences of career pressure, changing relationships and personal health challenges. During those moments, I found that gentle, honest reminders were far more helpful than being told to simply “stay positive.”

When my mom was navigating her own healing journey, I created the first Notes for Becoming affirmation deck for her. I wanted to give her something meaningful she could return to whenever hope felt harder to hold onto—a quiet reminder that healing does not have to be rushed and that difficult days do not erase progress.

That personal gift became the beginning of something bigger.

A gentler kind of encouragement

We believe encouragement should feel supportive, not demanding.

Our words acknowledge that life can be difficult while still making room for hope, self-compassion and the possibility of what comes next. They are not about pretending everything is fine. They are about meeting yourself where you are and taking the next step at your own pace.

Made with intention

Every Notes for Becoming product is thoughtfully designed in England to feel calm, beautiful and meaningful.

From the words we choose to the materials, presentation and smallest finishing touches, each detail is considered with care. Our aim is to create pieces that become part of your everyday rituals—and thoughtful gifts that help you say, “I’m here for you,” when finding the right words feels difficult.

Wherever you are in your journey

Notes for Becoming is a growing collection of gentle tools for reflection, encouragement and personal growth.

Whether you are healing, beginning again, supporting someone you love or simply looking for a steadier start to the day, we hope our words remind you of something important:

You do not need to have everything figured out. You are still growing, still becoming—and that is enough.
